Painter & Decorator

Due to growth, we are now seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our brand-new business (“Inspired Works”) which will deliver high quality property maintenance services to ensure all our villages including apartments and cottages are beautifully presented for the residents.

After six years of phenomenal growth and numerous awards, we are backed by a joint venture partnership between Legal & General PLC and NatWest Group Pension Trustee Limited. We are on course to significantly transform the later life experience in the UK with a commitment to expand our portfolio to 34 retirement villages, which equates to around 5,000 age-appropriate homes for retirees.

The Role:

• Enhancing the visual appeal of interior and exterior spaces across the Inspired Villages portfolio
• Cleaning, sanding and preparing surfaces to ensure they are smooth and free from imperfections
• Filling cracks, holes and other surface irregularities
• Applying paint, varnish, stains, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces
• Using of brushes, rollers or spray application to achieve constant coverage ensuring correct application of primers/undercoats
• Measuring and cutting wallpaper according to specific designs and space requirements
• Aligning wallpaper to create visually appealing finish
• Applying protective coatings to surfaces to guard against, moisture, corrosion or wear and tear
• Inspecting work to ensure it meets required standards and address any imperfections
• Being knowledgeable about environmentally friendly products relating to painting and decorating
• Disposing of hazardous materials correctly
• Carrying out works within occupied village setting both internal and external, working within residents occupied properties.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator with at least 2 years’ experience
• Knowledge of various painting and decorating techniques
• Proficiency in surface preparation and application of various finishes
• NVQ Level 2 Painting and Decorating would be desirable
• Full driving license.

• £33,904 per annum (£16.30 per hour)
