In this role, you'll be the go-to person for all things maintenance—from tackling day-to-day issues to overseeing preventative programmes, coordinating repairs, and ensuring health and safety standards are consistently met. You’ll also play a key role in helping new residents settle into their homes by ensuring everything is in perfect working order.
Key Requirements:
- Carrying out and overseeing general maintenance across residents’ homes and communal areas
- Leading and supporting your team, providing guidance, supervision, and hands-on help
- Managing the maintenance programme, including gardening and outdoor upkeep
- Operating and overseeing village vehicles, reporting any defects or maintenance needs
- Liaising professionally with residents regarding maintenance work, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption
- Ensuring high standards across all properties, creating a seamless and positive move-in experience
- Managing and tracking chargeable works requests in line with company policy
- Maintaining the village’s property defect tracker and ensuring timely, high-quality resolutions
- Supporting the chargeable repairs and maintenance plan in line with revenue targets
- Assisting with manual meter readings for the finance team when required
- Carrying out regular health and safety checks, including fire alarm tests and legionella monitoring
- Conducting regular stock plot inspections to maintain defect-free properties
The Benefits:
- Bupa Health Cashplan (including employee assistance program)
- Life Assurance at x4 your annual salary
- 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays, pro-rated to your contracted working hours)
- Holiday buying scheme (up to a week's extra leave)
- Big birthdays off (those ending in a 0)
- 5% matched pension scheme
- Retail discounts on a variety of outlets
- Access to SMART tech
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities
- Wellbeing hub and resources; including discounts related to wellbeing interventions
- Cycle to work scheme
- Electric car scheme
- Working in an incredible workspace, with a gym, social areas, and parking.
