Housekeeping Supervisor

Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure that all areas of the village are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation. We are driven by a clear purpose: to build real communities that enhance the lives of our residents every single day.

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, supporting and developing your team, and ensuring that residents’ homes and communal areas are consistently welcoming and well-maintained. You will also act as a key point of leadership in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, stepping up to ensure continuity, standards, and team support are maintained at all times.

Your leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to service excellence will help create a safe, tidy, and inviting environment that residents and visitors can enjoy.

If you are organised, proactive, and passionate about leading a team to deliver exceptional standards, there is a place for you at Inspired Villages.

The Role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be:

  • Managing the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
  • Supporting the Housekeeping Manager and confidently stepping up to lead the department in their absence
  • Planning, organising, and directing colleagues to consistently deliver the highest levels of resident satisfaction
  • Undertaking regular audits and quality checks to ensure all areas meet expected cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Assisting the team with hands-on cleaning duties where required, leading by example
  • Supporting staffing levels by helping to cover sickness and holidays to ensure continuity of service
  • Contributing to rota planning and adjustments as required to meet business needs
  • Undertaking general cleaning duties across designated areas, maintaining a tidy, hygienic, and welcoming environment
  • Overseeing housekeeping within residents’ homes, ensuring high standards of care and discretion
  • Scheduling and coordinating team tasks, communicating priorities and upcoming events clearly to colleagues
  • Maintaining and monitoring equipment, planning for repairs or replacements to keep resources in top condition
  • Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professional conduct at all times
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of COSHH, health, and safety regulations, ensuring full compliance across the department

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience managing and leading a team of housekeepers
  • Experience and passion for delivering exceptional service, ideally within hospitality or a similar customer-focused environment
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations; relevant certification is highly desirable
  • Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Confidence to step into a leadership role and make decisions in the manager’s absence
  • Flexibility to support rota changes, workload demands, and team coverage when required
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation

The Benefits

  • 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays, pro-rated to your contracted working hours)
  • Holiday buying scheme, allowing you to purchase up to one additional week of leave
  • Big birthdays off (those ending in a 0)
  • Bupa Health Cash Plan, including access to an employee assistance programme

  • Retail discounts across a wide range of outlets
  • Wellbeing hub and resources, including discounts on wellbeing initiatives
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Electric car scheme
  • The opportunity to work within a unique village environment designed to support community, wellbeing, and exceptional service
